چکیده
Acinetobacter baumannii is one of the ESKAPE pathogens which are leading cause nosocomial infections throughout world. The aim this study to detect role Some Proteins in Resistance imipenem. research included collection 100 different clinical specimens of( urine, burns, and wounds) isolated from patients Al-Diwaniyah Teaching Hospital for period September December 2021. 20 isolates out belonging A.baumannii were obtained. samples collected distributed as follows:7(35%) Swabs burns,8(40%) swabs wounds, 5(25%)from an examination was conducted (8)Antibiotics by ( Antibiotic Susceptibility Test-AST ) on isolates. results showed that all resistant antibiotics except imipenem a sensitivity 20% resistance 80% Minimum Inhibitory Concentration level five at concentrations (128 mg/ml 256 ), while 2(40%) 5 concentration 64 mg /ml.

Antibiotic Resistance of Clinical Isolates of Acinetobacter Baumannii in Hospitals of Kermanshah, Iran during one year
Background & Aims: Acinetobacter spp. are non-fermenting gram-negative coccobacilli that have emerged in recent three decades as major causes of nosocomial infections. Acinetobacter baumannii is the most common pathogen causing a wide spectrum of infections. Acinetobacter infections are difficult to treat, due to both the intrinsic resistance of the pathogen and its ability to readily acquire n...
متن کاملCorrelation between biofilm production and multiple drug resistance in imipenem resistant clinical isolates of Acinetobacter baumannii.
PURPOSE To study the qualitative and quantitative methods for the investigation of biofilm formation and to examine the correlation between biofilm and antibiotic resistance among the clinical isolates of Acinetobacter baumannii . We also verified the association between biofilm and presence of extended spectrum beta-lactamases, particularly, bla PER-1 . METHODS A total of 55 isolates were su...
متن کاملAssociation between mutations in gyrA and parC genes of Acinetobacter baumannii clinical isolates and ciprofloxacin resistance
Objective(s): We investigated the contribution of gyrA and parC mutational mechanism in decreased ciprofloxacin susceptibility of Acinetobacter baumannii isolated from burn wound infections. Materials and Methods: Ciprofloxacin susceptibility of 50 A. baumannii isolates was evaluated by disk diffusion and agar dilution methods. PCR and sequencing were performed for detection of mutation in gyr...
متن کاملassessment of biofilm formation and resistance to imipenem and ciprofloxacin among clinical isolates of acinetobacter baumannii in tehran
conclusions: it can be concluded that most of a. baumannii isolates can form biofilm in microtiter plate and tube. the results also verified that most of these isolates were resistant to ciprofloxacin and imipenem. results: results showed that in tube method under shaking, 22% of clinical isolates were strong biofilm producers while 23% of them were not able to form biofilms. in this experiment...
متن کاملAssessment of Biofilm Formation and Resistance to Imipenem and Ciprofloxacin among Clinical Isolates of Acinetobacter baumannii in Tehran
BACKGROUND Biofilms are communities of bacteria attached to the surfaces in an extracellular polymeric matrix which are associated with many chronic infections in humans. Acinetobacter spp. are emerging as a major cause of nosocomial infections and Acinetobacter baumannii is the predominant species associated with this kind of infections. OBJECTIVES In the present study, the potential of biof...
